Healthy Hamburger Helper

Serves: 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef lean (can also use turkey!)

  • 1 cup green chiles fresh or canned, diced

  • 1 cup onion diced

  • 1 cup beef broth low sodium

  • 2 cups whole wheat pasta

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 cup tomato sauce

  • ¾ cup plain Greek yogurt (optional)

  • 1 ⅓ cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

  1. Brown the ground beef on the stove.

  2. Add the onions, green chilis, paprika, and garlic powder. Give it a quick stir.

  3. Next pour in the pasta and then cover with beef broth and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat. Let it simmer until noodles are cooked through.

  4. Mix in greek yogurt (optional) and add in shredded cheese. Stir until melted.

  5. Serve + enjoy!!
